Who We Serve

Women partnering was created to serve financially vulnerable women and children in partnership with other organizations and people in Colorado Springs.

Our primary focus is aiding women and children by connecting them with the resources they need to develop self-empowerment. This includes helping women through their crises, and identifying and creating goals that allow families to thrive!
Partners have access to programs that provide education, skills-development, social and community building, and a safe space to share their burdens.

FAQ

Hi there! Have some questions about Women Partnering? Find the answers below.

  • How does Women Partnering help?

Women Partnering works to assist every woman with their specific situation. When a woman contacts us we will always provide a personalized list of the most appropriate resources for their specific needs. We also invite them to partner with us to work toward holistic economic sustainability through an Individual Development Plan.

  • Who does Women Partnering partner with?

We work with financially vulnerable women and their families in Colorado Springs and the surrounding area. We work to empower women who are looking for ways to improve their situation.  While we are a ministry of the Sisters of St Fancis our partners are not required to belong to any specific religion, or any religion at all.

  • What is an Individual Development Plan?

This is a plan that looks at all aspects of life, housing, physical and mental health, occupation, lifelong learning, social support, and spiritual health. Once all of these are evaluated our Partners will make goals for each area, examples can be finding a job, setting a budget, obtaining a GED, or working to improve mental health. With these goals Partners will work with Women Partnering to determine their next step and network to the resources that will empower them to meet their goals.

  • What is a network?

Networking is about making personal connections. At Women Partnering, we connect with women in the community and with other organizations. This helps us find the most appropriate resources for each individual. We understand that finding resources is challenging, and we work to make it more accessible.

  • What is a Partner?

A Partner is a woman who is actively working with us on her individual development plan. Partners have the opportunity to participate in a variety of enhancement programs hosted by Women Partnering, including social events, educational events, and events for mothers and their children. Partners can stay active with Women Partnering for as long as they want to continue making, and working towards, goals.
